Pancakes with Buttermilk Syrup Recipe

Pancakes with optional buttermilk syrup Recipe . I love breakfast. Not just any breakfast mind you. Not that I don’t truly enjoy something like a donut with my coffee, I definitely do. But what I really love is going out for breakfast. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs & hashbrowns. Sometimes french toast instead – but definitely all the other things. I absolutely go through times where I crave that. I seek it out & it’s so satisfying. But we can’t always get out to eat & I like making it at home too- except for the mess. But it never seemed to be the same as going out. There was a flavor that was missing. Homemade buttermilk syrup. That amazing flavor is what I didn’t have at home that made me want to head out for breakfast. But with this creation- I no longer have to do that.

These easy Pancakes with Buttermilk Syrup Recipe are a cross between a pancake & a crepe. Buttery & delicious, perfect when paired with whipped cream & berries. So good! Buttermilk Syrup Recipe

1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, ginger, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

2. Beat together the milk, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir this milk mixture into the flour mixture until just combined. Fold in the zucchini.

3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, and lightly butter the pan. Ladle the batter onto the skillet, and cook until bubbles appear on the surface. Flip with a spatula, and cook until browned on the other side.

4. Serve with buttermilk syrup and / or berries if desired.
